Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Housekeeping Checker to join our team at one of Darwin Escapes’ beautiful holiday destinations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in high standards of cleanliness and presentation, and who is passionate about ensuring guests arrive to a spotless and welcoming environment. As a Housekeeping Checker, you will play a key role in inspecting accommodation after cleaning, ensuring it meets company standards before guest arrival.

This is a hands‑on role, ideal for someone who is organised, thorough and confident in maintaining quality across all accommodation.

This is a fixed term, full‑time position working variable days, including weekends and bank holidays.

About

The Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect lodges and accommodation after cleaning to ensure they meet company standards
  • Identify and report any cleaning or maintenance issues
  • Ensure all areas are clean, tidy and presented to a high standard
  • Check that all inventory items are present and in good condition
  • Report any damages or missing items promptly
  • Support the housekeeping team in maintaining high standards
  • Assist with cleaning when required during busy periods
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety procedures
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure accommodation is guest‑ready
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work
  • Good communication skills
  • A positive attitude and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
