Payroll & Staff Accountant – Linden Oaks Campus
Schedule: Monday–Friday (8-hour shift)
Work Calendar: Year-round
Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Compensation: $30 per hour

As a Payroll & Staff Accountant at Linden Oaks, you’ll combine payroll expertise with core accounting responsibilities to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial operations. Your work directly supports the staff who make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental, learning, and neurological needs every day.
What You’ll DoPayroll Administration- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
- Maintain payroll records including earnings, deductions, benefits, and tax with holdings.
- Process new hires, terminations, pay changes, stipends, and leave adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Reconcile payroll reports and general ledger entries each pay period.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll questions and issue resolution.
- Support year-end payroll processes including W-2 preparation and reconciliation.
- Update accounts receivable and generate accurate invoices for contracting agencies.
- Support accounts payable processing as backup when needed.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly and quarterly.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Generate financial reports and summaries for leadership review.
- Assist with audits, financial reviews, and compliance documentation.
- Maintain organized financial records, contract databases, and supporting documentation.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Experience with payroll processing and general accounting functions
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, and accounting/payroll systems (Quick Books or similar)
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in nonprofit, education, or healthcare settings is a plus
