• Record financial transactions following accounting rules and internal control guidelines, presenting them in a form that informs business decisions.
• Ensure application of company policies and accounting guidelines.
• Support timely resolution of issues.
• Support accurate and timely processing of subledger and GL recordings.
• Support awareness and adherence to internal controls.
• Ensure delivery of timely and accurate financial reports.
• Participate in month end close activities; prepare journal entries and enter journal entries for posting such as fixed asset, sales/marketing programs and warranty cost analysis.
• Create master data records and maintain subledger entries.
• Advise internal departments.
• Provide information and answers to financial and JSOX auditors.
• Prepare the parent company reporting package.
• Perform GL accounts reconciliation and analysis, including fluctuation analysis.
• Create and maintain documentation for processes and procedures for responsible tasks.
• Apply regulatory requirements to YCA financial activities.
• Understand processes and data flows; identify errors and fix financial presentation.
• Comply with external audit requirements and pass audits with no material misstatement.
• Maintain the primary accounting record and understand trends and relationships between data points.
• Document internal controls/process flows and establish internal controls in compliance with JSOX.
• Ensure that two sets of accounting records are in agreement.
• Generate appropriate reports to meet information requests and/or needs.

• Advanced Excel experience, including manipulating large datasets, creating complex formulas, and generating reports.
• Demonstrated success applying GAAP (IFRS) to financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP.
• Progressive experience in general ledger accounting in a corporate environment.
• Progressive experience with account reconciliation/intercompany reconciliations and reserve balance analysis.
• Experience with reporting systems.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Knowledge of Oracle.
• 5+ years related experience in general ledger accounting in corporate environment.

The hiring range for this position is $70,000 - $95,000 annually + bonus. This is the hiring range and does not include the value of benefits.
