Permanent. Rate Range: $25.00 - $28.00 (based on education and experience).
Under general supervision, performs electronic equipment and wire harness assembly as well as solder operations in accordance with complex manufacturing specifications, schematics and process instructions. Produces high quality work while maintaining clear and accurate work in progress paperwork.
Primary Responsibilities- Using assembly instructions/schematics/drawings/process specifications and various small hand tools, builds a variety of complex electromechanical equipment assemblies to meet requirements
- Builds complex wire harnesses using equipment wire list and schematic
- Completes quality assembly work in a timely manner
- Using solder seal, vapor phase solder and touch-up irons, solders assemblies in accordance with process instructions
- Visually inspects assemblies in progress to ensure compliance to specifications, assembly drawings and schematics
- Fills out and maintains necessary paperwork. Ensures paperwork is compliant with quality instructions and manufacturing job instructions
- High school diploma or general education equivalent
- At least four (4) or more years of experience in electromechanical assembly, solderer certification IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 or equivalent certificate
- Ability to follow demonstrated assembly methods and techniques
- Ability to successfully assemble various configurations of final assembly and subassembly parts and components
- Ability to read and follow manufacturing and process specifications, engineering drawings and schematics
- Previous experience with small hand tools and soldering irons
- Basic computer knowledge required
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
