Licensed Vocational Nurse (Private Residence) – Shift Care

Work Schedule:

Monday through Sunday, Morning Shift, Mid Day Shift, Night Shift. Hours flexible.

Availability:
Full-Time & Part-Time.

Pay: $30.00 - $31.00 per hour + $500 bonus.

A qualified Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse provides one-on-one skilled nursing care to patients on an hourly (shift care) basis in their place of residence, following physician orders and the care plan under RN supervision.

• Graduate of a state‑approved school of practical (vocational) nursing and currently licensed in California.
• 1 year of nursing experience desirable, new graduates welcome.
• Current CPR certification.
• Acceptance of the agency’s philosophy and goals.
• Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment.

• Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures.
• Implement the nursing care plan for each patient.
• Provide nursing services, treatments and diagnostic and preventive procedures as assigned.
• Initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate.
• Observe signs and symptoms and report to physician and RN reactions to treatments, including drugs and changes in the patient’s physical or emotional condition.
• Teach and counsel the patient and family/significant others regarding nursing care needs and other related problems at home.
• Prepare clinical and progress notes.
