We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team.
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for performing mechanical, receiving, and in-process inspections to ensure that all products meet our company’s quality standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and reputation of our products and requires a high level of precision and commitment to quality.
Responsibilities- Mechanical Inspection:
Conduct detailed inspections of electrical and mechanical components and assemblies using measuring tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, microscopes, micrometers, gauges). - Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to determine inspection criteria.
- Identify and document non-conformances and work with engineering and production teams to resolve issues.
- Receiving Inspection:
Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and products to ensure they meet specified quality standards and purchase order requirements. - Verify supplier documentation, such as certificates of compliance and material test reports.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and create detailed reports on the quality of received goods.
- In-Process Inspection:
Perform in-process inspections on production lines to ensure products meet quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. - Monitor production processes for compliance with established procedures and quality standards.
- Collaborate with production personnel to identify and address quality issues promptly.
- Documentation and Reporting:
Accurately document inspection results and maintain inspection records. - Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting any areas of concern and suggesting improvements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
- Continuous Improvement:
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback for process enhancements. - Stay updated on industry standards and best practices in quality inspection.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in quality inspection, manufacturing technology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using computer software for documentation and reporting.
- Proficient in cleanroom best practices.
Full-time / Monday - Friday / 7:00am-3:30pm
Salary$20.00 - $25.00 per hour / Bi-Weekly Pay Schedule (Direct Deposit)
