Job Description
We are seeking Quality Inspectors to support dimensional, visual, and functional inspections of aluminum die-cast components. Roles range from entry-level (Inspector I) to advanced inspection responsibilities (Inspector II). Inspectors ensure products meet customer, company, and industry quality standards while supporting continuous improvement across production.
Note:
Advanced or more experienced inspectors are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on die-cast parts
- Identify defects such as porosity, cracks, flash, blisters, and surface imperfections
- Verify product conformance to drawings, specifications, and control plans
- Complete inspection documentation, reports, and records accurately
- Support first article, in‐process, and final inspections
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and go/no‐go gauges
- (Inspector II) Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- (Inspector II) Utilize advanced inspection tools including bore gauges, optical comparators, and CMM
- (Inspector II) Investigate nonconforming material and assist with root cause and corrective actions
- (Inspector II) Support audits and mentor junior inspectors
Requirements
Qualifications
Inspector I:
- High school diploma or GED
- 0–2 years of manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred
- Ability to read basic blueprints and follow work instructions
- Familiarity with basic measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail
Inspector II:
- High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred
- 3–5 years of quality inspection experience
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
- Experience in die casting, machining, or metal manufacturing preferred
- Ability to use advanced inspection equipment
- Understanding of SPC, quality tools, and ISO/IATF requirements
Bonus Skills
- Experience identifying casting defects
- Strong problem‐solving skills
- Ability to work independently after training
- Experience with CMM or advanced metrology tools (Inspector II)
