Stucco/Wood Framer – Buena Park

This role focuses on exterior repair and refurbishment work on residential complexes, including patching stucco, replacing damaged wood, and performing light painting. You work as part of a small team to restore and refresh vacant apartments, ensuring high-quality workmanship and a clean, finished appearance.
Responsibilities- Patch and repair exterior stucco surfaces on residential buildings, ensuring smooth, durable finishes.
- Remove, replace, and repair damaged or deteriorated exterior wood components, including trim and framing as needed.
- Perform light painting tasks, including paint preparation and touch-up work on repaired areas.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively for carpentry and stucco repair tasks.
- Measure materials accurately using tape measures and other basic tools to ensure precise cuts and installations.
- Assist with rough carpentry tasks as needed during apartment refurbishments.
- Support finish carpentry activities, such as trim work and cabinetry-related repairs when required.
- Maintain and use personal wood and stucco tools appropriate for the job.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking to achieve a professional finish.
- Work in teams of two to refurbish vacant apartments efficiently and to quality standards.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working on exterior structures and using tools.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and meet project timelines.
- Hands-on experience with wood and stucco repairs on residential or similar structures.
- Ability to perform stucco patching and repair work on building exteriors.
- Carpentry skills, including rough carpentry and basic framing tasks.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and tape measures.
- Proficiency with power tools commonly used in carpentry and stucco work.
- Experience with finish carpentry tasks, including trim work and cabinetry-related repairs.
- Capability to perform paint preparation tasks and light painting work.
- Ownership and ability to use appropriate wood and stucco tools required for the role.
- Ability to work effectively in a two-person team environment.
- Reliable work habits and the ability to consistently work first-shift hours Monday through Friday.

Work EnvironmentThis is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., working primarily in teams of two. The work takes place on the exterior of residential complexes and inside vacant apartments being refurbished. You regularly use a variety of hand and power tools for stucco repair, carpentry, cabinetry work, and paint preparation. The environment is hands-on and field-based, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and completing refurbishments efficiently and to a high standard.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buena Park, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
