Salary effective July 4, 2026: $21.93 - $26.66 hourly rate.

The City of Buena Park’s Community Services Department is seeking responsible, enthusiastic, and energetic individuals to join our Summer Aquatics Program as a Senior Lifeguard. The Lifeguard position is part‑time, non‑benefited, working 20‑30 hours per week. Availability is required for a flexible schedule that includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays beginning May 2026.

• Minimum age 16 years at the time of application.
• Valid American Red Cross certifications: CPR/AED, Lifesaving for the Professional Rescuer, Standard First Aid or equivalent within 30 days of appointment.
• Excellent swimming skills and ability to perform basic arithmetic, plan, organize, and conduct aquatic programs, maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
