We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our client, a growing global manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical accounting foundation. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the monthly close process, financial reporting, and operational accounting across a complex, multi-entity environment.
This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance teams while contributing to process improvements and scalable accounting practices in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities- Lead portions of the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Maintain and reconcile inventory, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing-related accounts, including standard costing and variance analysis
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate financial reporting of production, inventory, and cost drivers
- Support consolidation activities for multiple entities, including intercompany transactions and eliminations
- Analyze financial results and provide insights into manufacturing performance, margins, and cost trends
- Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation
- Evaluate and improve internal controls and accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Support implementation of ERP systems or system enhancements related to finance and operations
- Assist with technical accounting research and application of new accounting standards
- Collaborate with FP&A and leadership to support forecasting and budgeting initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 4+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates with a public accounting foundation
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, including exposure to inventory
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
