As a Market Data Analyst, you will specialize in providing fact-based insights into defined markets, competitors, and customer and partner needs to influence decision-making and strategic planning. Primary responsibilities include product portfolio reporting, interpretation and data-based recommendations to business leaders.
Additionally, you will collaborate with other analysts on the team to provide support to different business functions and cross functionally work with Zebra marketing, sales, and our product and solutions teams.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares a variety of reports consolidating data from one or multiple systems. Delivers report in format to aid stakeholders outside the functional area (Powerpoint, PDF, Power
BI, etc.) - Reviews delivered reports for data accuracy. Independently works to resolve quality issues of limited scope and escalates complex quality issues to supervisor or senior staff for resolution
- Uses business acumen to look beyond the data to generate recommendations and assessments of business growth initiatives and opportunities
- Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
- Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences
- Assists with portions of larger projects or leads multiple small projects. Coordinates the work activities of project members and ensures that projects progress according to schedule and budget.
- Contributes to the fulfillment of projects and department or team objectives
- Collaborates within team to develop solutions for internal operations or key stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
Identify the key skills and competencies, education and work experience requirements and special licenses or certifications needed to competently perform the role.
- Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Management, Marketing or Finance
- Minimum Work Experience (years):
- 2+ years of professional experience in a similar position
- Key Skills and
Competencies:- High level of Excel skills required
- Power
BI and SQL knowledge required - DAX coding highly advantageous
- Strong analytical skills – data cleaning and preparation, analyze data to extract answers to business questions
- Ability to present data in a visually compelling format
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attitude to learn and grow within the company, potentially willingness to learn machine learning
