Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $64,200.00 - $96,200.00. The salary offered within this range will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level.
Purpose Statement: The process engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves offering guidance on best practices and equipment, optimizing production for efficiency and quality, training various teams, and supporting ongoing production activities. They also ensure the manufacturability of new products while adhering to standards and lead new product introduction processes.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Develops manufacturing solutions / provides high‑quality, cost‑appropriate services that satisfy customer requirements.
- Utilizes appropriate tools and equipment to perform necessary work including creation, analysis, and verification.
- Demonstrates a clear, discipline‑specific understanding of the full Plexus manufacturing processes / product requirements and specifications as they apply to the role.
- Successfully executes responsibilities in adherence to Plexus manufacturing processes.
- Produces comprehensive project documentation based on project needs and in accordance with quality and change management procedures and guidelines.
Education / Experience Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science is required; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher is preferred.
- Less than one (1) year of related experience is required; one (1) or more years of related experience is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
Other Qualifications
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Intermediate decision making, problem solving skills.
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills; statistical process control software skills.
- Proactive and ability to work in a cross‑discipline team environment.
- Understanding of structured design.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with team members and customers.
- Lab tool / test / measurement equipment experience preferred.
