The P&O Business Partner will partner with Finance leaders across Smart Infrastructure Buildings U.S. and work on cross-functional initiatives and monthly reporting packages for the organization.

We are looking for a P&O/HR professional with a demonstrable track record of translating business strategies into people initiatives that effectively drive and support business performance, including profit, growth, and customer and employee engagement across the organization.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic problem solver with the ability to skillfully navigate complex and strategic topics with senior leadership. This position is hybrid and located in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. You’ll make an impact by:

  • Create and lead strategic people priorities (i.e., leadership development, people experience, early career programs, upskilling & enablement, etc.) and action areas derived directly from the business strategy to ensure alignment and organizational success.
  • Partner with business leaders to generate actionable data insights that drive strategic decisions and align with forward-looking performance metrics like revenue, profit, growth, order intake, etc.
  • Lead critical conversations with leaders and teams to tackle complex challenges, improve team effectiveness, and guide the organization through change and aligning workforce strategies with global and emerging trends.
  • Foster relationships to enable seamless integration and seize opportunities for alignment across the internal ecosystem (EHS, Talent Acquisition, Talent & Organization, Comp & Ben, Governance & Compliance, P&O Business Partner community, etc.), driving impactful outcomes.
  • Challenge the status quo and ask, "What if?" and "Why not?"
Basic Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 5-8 years of consultative problem-solving, organizational change, risk management, facilitation and stakeholder management at the leadership levels of the organization
  • 5-8 years of HR experience with knowledge of various HR fields, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and management consultation.
  • 5-8 years of experience working in a matrixed environment and successfully managing multiple stakeholders
  • 5-8 years of experience in leveraging technology like Power

    BI, Workday, MS Excel and AI
  • Ability and willingness to travel, estimated at 10-25% for this position.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong experience and knowledge drawing business relevant insights from data (leading with people data).
  • Early career talent planning experience is a plus
  • Certifications in change management / organizational development / leadership training / Power

    BI is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • The pay range for this position is $82,538-$141,494 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
