Job Description

• Support and maintain all company policies including ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, GMP, and standard work procedures.
• Maintain a clean work space and 5S Standards in the work area.
• Perform visual inspection of products per production specifications for defects.
• Report identified visual defects to the Supervisor or Process Technician.
• Package and label product per customer specifications.
• Enter daily production and scrap data into Mattec.
• Operate assembly or packaging equipment as required by product specifications and work instructions.
• Perform mold changeovers.
• Load the validated master cycle parameters into the injection molding machine at each startup.
• Load programs into and align automated and robotic systems.
• Ensure injection molding machines run to standard and that product quality meets specifications at each startup.
• Start and stop injection molding equipment after initial start‑up.
• Answer injection molding equipment alarms.
• Troubleshoot injection molding and automated assembly processes.
• Clean injection molds as required by work instructions.
• Perform color changes and material lot changes as required, and complete traceability documentation.
• Complete production and workstation documentation as required.
• Maintain lean initiatives and participate in lean projects.
• Retrieve required documentation from the TMS to assist with quality‑related decisions.
• Provide suggestions and take an active role in process improvements to eliminate non‑value added activity.
• Complete total productive maintenance activities for assembly and auxiliary equipment (TPM).
• Complete total preventive maintenance activities for injection molding equipment and mold (TPM).
• Maintain the Kanban system associated with the work cell to insure materials are properly staged.
• Operate scales for scale set‑up and operation.
• Complete cycle checklists.
• Complete labor requirements planning (LRP), including opening and closing of lots, ensuring all paperwork is mistake‑free.
• Utilize SAP to manage LRP labels and documents.
• Perform line clearances as required.
• Provide support to the Production Supervisor as needed.
• Perform lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO) of any unsafe equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma, GED, or Injection Molding Machine Experience required.
• Basic math skills.
• PC skills.
• Work in a clean manufacturing and warehouse environment that may include moderate noise levels.
• Able to frequently lift up to 35 lbs.

The APU Cell Leader is responsible for supporting cell team members in the startup, operation, and TPM maintenance of molding and assembly equipment and the packaging of molded and/or assembled components per company and customer specifications.

$22 - $28/hr hour, plus 10% night shift differential.
