Location:
Buffalo Grove, IL Pay Rate: $38.00 – $42.00 per hour
Schedule:

Requirements:
- 4+ years of manufacturing experience, including formal leadership or team lead experience
- Demonstrated experience supervising or leading production employees
- Strong working knowledge of machining, fabrication, or welding processes
- Ability to plan workflow, allocate labor, and meet production schedules
- Experience enforcing safety, quality, and standard work on the floor
- Forklift license (required or ability to obtain)
- Associate's degree, technical training, or equivalent experience
- Standing for the majority of the shift
- Lifting up to 35 lbs
- Walking, bending, reaching as required in a manufacturing environment
- Preferred (Helps You Stand Out)
- Machining or welding certifications
- Experience in lean manufacturing, TPM, or continuous improvement

Job Duties:
- Directly lead and coordinate a team of production employees (skilled & semi-skilled)
- Assign work, set daily priorities, and manage labor to meet production targets
- Serve as the first point of escalation for safety, quality, and workflow issues
- Enforce standard work, safety rules, 5S, TPM, and lean manufacturing practices
- Monitor output, downtime, and quality metrics; take corrective action as needed
- Train, coach, and mentor employees; support onboarding and skills development
- Partner with engineering, quality, and materials to meet customer delivery commitments
- Review and interpret blueprints, routings, BOMs, and work instructions
- Document production performance, training completion, and continuous improvement efforts
- Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives on the floor
