Responsibilities
- Set up and operate VMCs, HMCs, TMCs, CO2 lasers, fiber lasers, break presses, and robotic welders
- Perform light program edits on mills, lathes, lasers, or robotic welders, including tool offsets, reference points, and conditional switches
- Maintain quality by observing drilling, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations
- Troubleshoot processes, detect malfunctions, and replace or sharpen worn tools
- Plan machining by interpreting work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and GD&T specifications
- Verify machine settings and first‑run parts using precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers
- Document production and quality activities to maintain continuity across shifts
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Follow safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and uphold 5S standards
- Participate in ongoing learning to stay updated on technical publications and new machining techniques
Skills & Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school, or 6‑12 months related experience
- Proficient in reading blueprints, engineering plans, and GD&T
- Ability to operate multiple types of CNC machines and equipment
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Basic math, geometry, and simple trigonometry skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
