Quality Supervisor

This is not a typical Quality Supervisor position. We're looking for a true leader who can own the quality function on the production floor, develop and mentor inspectors, drive accountability, and partner directly with Operations and Engineering to elevate quality standards across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Quality Inspectors while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Supervise daily quality operations to ensure production consistently meets customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.
• Oversee CMM inspection activities, measurement strategies, and inspection priorities while ensuring accurate dimensional verification.
• Partner closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to resolve complex quality issues and eliminate recurring defects.
• Drive root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Monitor production quality metrics, scrap, rework, and customer complaints while developing action plans to improve performance.
• Review first article inspections, in-process inspections, final inspections, and documentation for compliance.
• Support customer audits, internal audits, and supplier quality initiatives.
• Ensure proper interpretation and application of GD&T, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.
• Standardize inspection methods, documentation, and quality processes across the department.
• Mentor inspectors on best practices, measurement techniques, and technical development.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, improving throughput, and strengthening overall manufacturing quality.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Quality experience within a CNC machining, precision machining, aerospace, medical device, or metal manufacturing environment.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing Quality Inspectors.
• Strong background with CMM inspection and dimensional measurement.
• Excellent understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.
• Working knowledge of quality systems, inspection techniques, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Production, and senior leadership.
• Hands-on leadership style with a passion for mentoring employees and improving processes.
