Lab Tech III

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Lab Technician III for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Lake County, IL.

Details for the position are as follows:

Job Title: Bioanalytical Scientist / Lab Technician

Location: 100% Onsite

Pay Rate: $28–30/hr (W2)

Duration: 1 Year

• Perform routine and non-routine bioanalytical testing and formulation activities in a GLP laboratory.
• Conduct analytical testing using HPLC (SEC, CEX, HIC, RP-HPLC), Karl Fischer, UV/IR/Fluorescence spectroscopy, and particle testing techniques.
• Analyze biopharmaceutical samples and document results using an electronic laboratory notebook (eLN).
• Troubleshoot analytical methods and laboratory instrumentation.
• Perform laboratory maintenance while following cGMP, GLP, SOP, and safety requirements.
• Support project teams with analytical testing and data interpretation.

• BS or MS in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific discipline.

• Pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical laboratory experience.
• Hands‑on experience with HPLC, including SEC, CEX, HIC, and RP-HPLC.
• Experience with Empower chromatography data software.
• Bioanalytical testing and method execution.
• Karl Fischer analysis.
• UV, IR, and Fluorescence spectroscopy.
• eLN (Electronic Laboratory Notebook) documentation.
• cGMP/GLP laboratory environment.
• Laboratory techniques including pipetting, weighing, and solution preparation.

• Particle sizing and visible/sub‑visible particle testing.
• Force tester experience.
• pH, viscosity, density, color, and clarity testing.
• Bioanalytical data analysis and interpretation.
• Experience with formulation studies.
