School-Based Social Worker - Buffalo, Minnesota

Qualifications/Desired

Experience:

• Valid licensure as a School Social Worker
• Experience working within elementary school settings preferred
• Strong understanding of best practices surrounding student mental health, behavioral support, and social‑emotional learning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to balance caseload management with direct student services
• Compassionate, resourceful, and proactive approach to student well‑being

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and interventions for students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Develop and implement individualized support plans, working in partnership with teachers and families
• Conduct group and one‑on‑one counseling sessions to foster student growth and resilience
• Serve as a crucial resource for crisis intervention and conflict resolution
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary school teams to deliver wraparound services that promote academic and personal success
• Maintain accurate, confidential case documentation consistent with district policies and ethical standards
