About the Opportunity

Job Title:

CNC Machining Technician

Pay Rate Range: $25.00-$30.00/Hour

Location:

Buffalo, MN

Schedule:

1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:30AM-4PM with flexible start and end times. O/T is required.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude – Examples include:
    • Tinkering with or building machines
    • Fixing small engines or power tools
    • Experience with auto mechanics or small engines
    • Interest in fabrication, machines, or robotics
  • Strong computer literacy – ability to learn and work confidently in CAD/CAM software (Mastercam), file management systems, and digital measuring tools
  • Willingness to learn CNC machining or experience operating CNC mills (HAAS preferred)
  • Comfortable use of precision tools like micrometers and calipers
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and collaborative
  • Preferred (but not required):
    • Previous experience in CNC operation, mold making, tool & die, or mechanical engineering
    • Understanding of machining tolerances, feeds/speeds, material types, and digital workflows
    • 50lbs lifting and able to stand for most of the shift.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Use Mastercam to program CNC machines and generate toolpaths for a variety of components.
  • Operate and learn to troubleshoot HAAS vertical milling machines.
  • Pull up and interpret digital part prints, 3D models, and technical drawings.
  • Work with computer-based systems to manage job files, set up programs, and maintain tooling libraries.
  • Perform precision measurement using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify part accuracy.
  • Cut and prep raw steel for machining operations.
  • Maintain digital documentation of work performed, adjustments made, and quality checks.
  • Collaborate with a small, skilled team to meet deadlines and uphold quality standards.
  • Support a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
