Production Manager

Whirltronics, Inc. is seeking a hands-on manufacturing leader to drive safety, accountability, production execution, and operational excellence across all shifts.

The Production Manager is responsible for leading safe, disciplined, and consistent manufacturing operations. This position requires strong floor presence, direct employee engagement, and the ability to hold supervisors and teams accountable for results. The ideal candidate is a visible leader who can balance daily execution with long-term improvement while reinforcing company standards across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and teamwork.

• Lead production operations across all shifts with a strong focus on safety, accountability, and execution.
• Maintain a consistent presence on the production floor to observe work, engage employees, and address issues in real time.
• Ensure supervisors clearly communicate expectations, manage performance, and follow through on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with planning to support schedule adherence, staffing needs, production priorities, and on-time delivery.
• Monitor key operational metrics, identify performance gaps, and drive corrective actions to sustain results.
• Drive continuous improvement through kaizen activity, standard work, employee engagement, problem solving, and waste reduction.

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment with 5+ years in a same or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Strong ability to coach supervisors, develop employees, and reinforce standards consistently, with flexibility to provide support across multiple shifts.
• Comfort using metrics and root cause analysis to improve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance.
• Hands-on leadership style with a commitment to being present and engaged on the floor.
• Ability to communicate clearly across shifts and work collaboratively with planning, quality, engineering, and operations teams.
• Continuous improvement mindset with experience supporting or leading process improvement initiatives.
• Prior experience with Union shops is a plus.
