Position: Nurse (RN or LPN) On-Call

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. This role includes administering medications and treatments, monitoring resident health conditions, maintaining accurate documentation, managing medical supplies and equipment, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure individualized resident care. The Nurse promotes resident well-being, safety, and quality of life through compassionate and professional nursing services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents according to established care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor resident conditions and evaluate responses to treatments and medications.
  • Document resident care using electronic medication administration and charting systems.
  • Notify physicians, supervisors, and family members of significant changes in resident health status.
  • Manage medications, medical supplies, and equipment in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications and supplies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support resident care.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and nursing standards.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
  • Perform additional nursing duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements / Skills
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Strong nursing assessment and clinical care skills.
  • Knowledge of medication administration and resident care practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Compassionate and resident-centered approach to care.
  • Proficiency with electronic charting and medication administration systems.
