Staff Accountant

Description

Kyle Clarke with Robert Half is looking for an experienced and driven Staff Accountant to assist with financial operations including accurate journal entries, reconciliation, reporting, and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

+ Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts

+ Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

+ Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules

+ Support internal and external audit activities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

+ Prepare financial reports and variance analyses for management

+ Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes

+ Analyze operating expenses and identify trends or discrepancies

+ Support ad hoc financial reporting and special projects

Accounts Payable & Receivable Support

+ Review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper coding

+ Assist with vendor reconciliations and payment processing

+ Support customer billing, cash application, and collections follow

Requirements

Education & Experience:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 2-5 years of accounting experience

+

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)

+ Strong understanding of general ledger accounting

Skills &

Competencies:

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)

+ High attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

+ Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
