Construction Billing Specialist

Description

Jenny Bour with Robert Half is working with a well-established construction company that is seeking an experienced Construction Biller to join their team and manage all aspects of project billing with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal Construction Billing candidate will have strong background in the construction industry and a solid understanding of AIA billing, including progress billing, schedule of values, lien waivers, and compliance documentation.

This Construction Biller position is a permanent position located in West Seneca, NY.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare, review, and submit AIA billing for multiple construction projects

+ Ensure timely and accurate progress billings in accordance with contract terms

+ Reconcile contract amounts, change orders, and retainage

+ Track payments, follow up on outstanding invoices, and resolve billing discrepancies

+ Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and accounting to ensure accurate documentation

+ Prepare lien waivers, compliance documents, and supporting paperwork as required

+ Maintain organized digital and hard-copy billing records

Requirements

+ AIA billing experience is required

+ Previous experience in a construction accounting or billing role

+ Strong understanding of contract billing, retainage, and job costing

+ Proficiency with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, Procore, or similar)

+ Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

+ Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines

+ Strong communication skills for collaborating with project teams and clients
