We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our strong and rapidly growing accounting team. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for assisting management with various financial and administrative duties.
Accounts Receivable ClerkJob Responsibilities
- Apply payments from multiple sources (e.g., wire transfers, ACH, checks, payment portals) accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain customer master files, including contact information and terms as changes arise.
- Release customer accounts based on payment status.
- Identify delinquent accounts and reach out to customers to resolve discrepancies and expedite collections.
- Generate monthly external commission statements.
- Maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records across a large portfolio of wholesale and reseller clients.
- Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances in alignment with customer credit terms.
- Resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and disputes quickly and professionally.
- Collaborate with Sales/ Customer Service teams to reconcile order, delivery, and payment data.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts, ensuring clear communication and professional rapport.
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing processes for accounts receivable.
- Provide reports and insights into AR performance, collection efficiency, and cash flow trends.
- Assist with audit preparations and compliance documentation.
Skills and Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in an accounts receivable or related accounting role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and AR processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Net Suite/Oracle preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, high accuracy standards and attention to detail.
