Accounting Manager | Legends Global Buffalo​/AdPro

Legends Global Merchandise (LGM) seeks an experienced Controller to support financial reporting and Human Resources functions. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations, managing cash flow, preparing financial statements, and supporting HR activities such as payroll, employee communications, and recruitment.

• Support daily accounting department operations, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, and the general ledger.
• Optimize cash flow management by forecasting cash requirements, monitoring balances, and implementing effective strategies.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end processes: prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and ensure timely reporting.
• Develop and implement budgets and financial forecasts, report variances, and assist the EVP in financial planning.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements; comply with local, state, federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Coordinate annual audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
• Maintain documented accounting policies and procedures; ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Prepare and process weekly payroll; oversee employee timekeeping.
• Assist with company communications related to human resource matters.
• Act as liaison between Corporate HR, recruitment, and the company; manage the recruiting process for new personnel.
• Assist employees with HR matters and support onboarding processes as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of similar experience; public accounting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Superior organizational and time‑management skills.
• Experience with month‑end/year‑end closing processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree/Sage) and advanced Excel functions.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations.

Competitive salary range of $85,000 - $105,000 plus incentive potential, commensurate with experience.
