Our client, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be part of the Corporate Accounting Department supporting the Accounts Payable, Treasury, Tax, and Internal Audit teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational skills, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist (Temporary)
Location: Buffalo, NY
Pay Range: $25.00/hour
Contract Length: 3-6 months
What’s the Job?- Process invoices accurately and timely using Read Soft Invoice Cockpit and SAP.
- Follow up with approvers to ensure invoices are approved on time and respond to vendor and internal customer inquiries.
- Process payment proposals, distribute checks, and coordinate banking transactions, including positive pay files and stop payments.
- Maintain electronic records by scanning and indexing documentation in OnBase.
- Support Corporate Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Internal Audit with account analysis, audit requests, and intercompany billing.
- Associate's degree with 3+ years of accounts payable or related experience, or Bachelor's degree with 1+ year of related experience.
- Experience processing high-volume transactions with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- SAP experience preferred;
OnBase experience is a plus. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Competitive pay of $25/hour
- Full-time Monday-Friday schedule (8:00 AM-5:00 PM).
