Overview
Withum, a professional services firm, offers auditing and attest engagement services with a focus on the Healthcare Services group.
Responsibilities- Lead the engagement team on the planning and execution of audit, review or compilation engagements to provide world‑class client service.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the engagement: staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting and conclusion.
- Provide supervision and support to staff, seniors and supervisors, fostering open communication to the engagement partner.
- Collaborate with seniors, supervisors and partners on client issue resolution and make recommendations for any legal, regulatory and accounting issues that arise.
- Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client deadlines.
- Create and track engagement budgets to identify inefficiencies during the audit.
- Conduct constructive discussions with team members on evaluations and provide counsel.
- Serve in professional development programs as instructor or discussion leader.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA license or working toward CPA certification with parts passed.
- At least 3 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
- Experience serving clients in the healthcare industry (healthcare systems, hospitals, post‑acute care facilities, for‑profit and not‑for‑profit entities).
- Understanding of uniform guidance related to healthcare organizations.
- Excellent analytical, technical and auditing skills and familiarity with US GAAP.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills and ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects.
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management skills, attention to detail and innovative problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Compensation: Salary ranges in Western New York: $74,000 – $84,000 annually. Compensation is based on location and individual qualifications.
