Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections

Buffalo Biodiesel is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing accounting team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial records, timely month-end close, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with Quick Books Online and Net Suite, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys improving processes and solving problems. This role will work closely with the Controller to strengthen the accounting function and support the continued growth of the organization.

• Assist the Controller with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for Controller review
• Maintain the general ledger
• Perform daily and monthly bank, credit card, and financing reconciliations
• Assist with inventory, fixed asset, and lease accounting
  
  Prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting, tax filings, and annual audits
• Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and properly documented
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and efficiencies
• Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed

• Bachelor's degree accounting
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong proficiency with Quick Books Online and Net Suite(required)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
• Experience working in a multi-entity environment (preferred)
• Experience improving accounting processes and internal controls (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Pay:$75,000 - $85,000/year
