New York State Department of Taxation and Finance in Buffalo invites applications for Auditor 1 (Tax). The role conducts on-site field audits and examinations of taxpayers' books and records to determine compliance with New York Tax Law.
You will travel locally and nationally, communicate with taxpayers and supervisors, and develop expertise in tax procedures, security rules, and department policies. A bachelor’s degree with accounting/auditing/taxation credits is required; NY HELPS eligibility
