Accounting Manager

Our client, a local financial services company is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager for their direct hire opening in the Buffalo area! The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in managing complex accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and provide strategic financial insights to support organizational growth. This on-site position offers a salary of $52K - $78K based on experience + benefits.

The Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of the daily accounting operations ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately tracked and reported.

• Oversee all daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets/prepaids, payroll, Asset Liability Management Reports, CECL Calculation Reports, and investments.
• Prepare timely monthly financial statements, Call Reports (Form 5300), and other regulatory reports.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
• Analyze income/expense variances.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), NCUA regulations.
• Prepare documentation and serve as a liaison for internal supervisory committee and regulatory agencies (NCUA.)
• Monitor and manage daily cash flow and investments under direction of management and Board of Directors.

• Bachelors degree in accounting, or equivalent credit union/banking experience;
• Strong knowledge of GAAP,
• Proficiency in accounting software, and Microsoft Office in a windows environment,
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
