Hourly Pay Range: $16-$20
Shift: Monday-Friday Days
Provides courteous and knowledgeable administrative support; is the initial point of contact for front desk calls and visits—ensures efficient operation and outstanding customer service. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), supports the persons’ served character, choices, strengths, interests and needs and ensures a safe, healthy and clean environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Warmly welcomes employees and guests to the facility—clearly and cordially answers and transfers calls, delivers messages from voicemail and email and takes necessary action to address caller/visitor needs involving appropriate personnel
- Receives deliveries and prepares items for delivery—sorts, distributes and posts mail and maintains the facility mail hub and mailboxes, coordinates mailings
- Completes purchase requisitions for mail and office supplies as needed or requested
- Provides various administrative tasks as needed or requested which support the entire team at the facility
- Respects and maintains the confidentiality of the persons served and demonstrates a positive and caring attitude
- Plans, coordinates and implements meaningful activities and person-centered activities that promote independence, inclusion and productivity
- Completes all tasks necessary to ensure the health and safety of each person receiving services
- Performs DSP supports to program as needed
- Promptly and accurately completes daily documentation and other accounting as required by OPWDD and agency standards
- Remains compliant with all required training
- Maintains certification in CPR, Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP-R) and medication administration and performs all as needed
- Attends and participates in meetings and trainings
- Complies with all agency policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED and 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic computer skills.
- Lifting requirement of 35 lbs.
- Ability to support people receiving services with repositioning, lifting and transferring as required by their person-centered plan, to sit for extended periods of time and to meet the physical requirements to react to emergency situations using CPR, SCIP-R.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
