International Exchanges & Education Coordinator

Working Hours:

Mon-Fri / Day Shift (some evenings or weekends as operations dictate) / On-Site with occasional travel

$18-21 per hour based on education and experience

Job Summary:

The International Exchanges & Education Coordinator provides administrative and programmatic support for international exchange programs, educational initiatives, and community events. This position coordinates logistics, schedules meetings and events, communicates with participants and community partners, maintains program documentation, and assists in delivering high-quality educational and cultural programming.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of associate’s degree in international relations, education, communications, political science, a related field or HS diploma/GED with equivalent experience
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an educational or community-engagement capacity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized with strong attention to detail, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong professional acumen interacting with various agencies and high profile individuals
  • Experience with diverse cultures and/or refugee populations highly desired
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities a plus
  • Willingness and adaptability working with diverse cultures of underserved and underrepresented communities
  • Flexible schedule; able to accommodate the needs of the agency and its clients (some evening or weekend hours may be required as operations dictate)
  • Highly proficient computer skills using MS Office, virtual platforms, learning management systems (LMS) and similar technologies
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
Duties And Responsibilities:

Program Coordination
  • Working knowledge of various Washington-based hosting programs and procedures
  • Coordinates logistics for exchange programs and educational initiatives
  • Prepares documents, reports, agendas, curriculum, correspondence, and similar materials
  • Attends educational sessions, supports participants, and may facilitate meetings as directed
  • Collaborates with National Program Agency partners to develop the Buffalo-based portion of each International Visitor program
  • Identifies opportunities to expand programming and partnerships
  • Assists with the development and coordination of global community- and health-focused educational events, workshops, and presentations
Administrative Support
  • Assists to develop competitive proposals to secure upcoming projects that are provided to National Program Agency partners
  • Assists with planning events and on-site support such as annual speaker series, Model UN, trivia, etc.
  • Participates in outreach activities and may represent the organization at community meetings and employer engagement events
  • Ensures compliance with contractual requirements, grants, confidentiality standards, organizational policies and federal/state/local and funding agency regulations governing employment programs
  • Assists with drafting or updating written policies as assigned
  • Monitors program success, feedback, and quality; implements continuous improvement initiatives and qualitative measurement tools as appropriate
  • Collaborates with internal departments to ensure coordinated service delivery and positive participant experiences
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and best practices in international education and exchange programming
  • Collaborates with Communications department on marketing initiatives to promote programming
  • If multilingual, may provide internal translation/interpretation services as needed or requested
  • Supports the organization’s mission and values, promotes a positive culture and remains actively engaged
  • Other duties as assigned by a member of management within the job scope
