Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Contract Administrator to support the Multidomain Sensing, Targeting and Survivability (MSTS) Division, Amherst Systems Operating Unit (OU). The preferred hybrid location is Buffalo, NY, but the position may also be staffed at Rolling Meadows, IL.
What You’ll Get to DoThe position will report directly to the Manager of Contracts and serve as the primary contact with our customer, administering a mix of development, production, and sustainment contracts for internal and external customers. You will be responsible for all formal contract communications and sustaining the contractual baseline to ensure favorable programmatic and financial performance. In addition to established development, production, and support efforts, you will support new business proposals and ROMs, both competitive and sole‑source.
Responsibilities- Administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts.
- Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer communications to ensure proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with functional teams and management to lead the internal proposal approval process.
- Advise program teams of contractual rights and obligations, including interpretation of contract terms and conditions.
- Maintain and update contract documents and official program records, including contractual documents and correspondence.
- Monitor contract requirements and associated program funding and deliverables to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated, understood, and followed.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and government regulations.
- Administer, negotiate, and conduct closeout of contracts.
- Maintain an open and healthy relationship with internal and external customers.
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years of experience in Contracts Management/Administration or a related field (e.g., contracts‑related legal, pricing, business management, etc.).
- Master’s Degree plus 1 year of experience in Contracts Management/Administration or a related field.
- Will consider 6 years of applied experience in lieu of a degree requirement.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance is required.
- Experience using FAR/DFARS.
- Experience with SAP.
- Experience with Contract Negotiation.
- Experience working with NDAs.
- Current/active U.S. Government Secret clearance.
