Are you an experienced estimator who enjoys balancing technical project work with customer interaction and field exposure? A growing construction and mechanical services organization in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Estimator to join its team. This full-time on-site role offers a salary range of $75,000-$115,000, depending on experience, along with flexibility and long-term growth potential.

This Estimator will work closely with leadership, project teams, customers, and vendors to prepare project estimates, review plans/specifications, coordinate pricing, and support ongoing project opportunities. The role combines office-based estimating work with occasional site visits and customer meetings.

The ideal Estimator candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

This organization offers a supportive, family-oriented environment where employees are given autonomy and trusted to manage their work effectively. This is an in-person, on-site position in Buffalo, NY.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed project estimates and bid proposals
  • Review plans, specifications, and project scope documents
  • Coordinate pricing with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
  • Participate in customer meetings and project site visits
  • Collaborate with project managers and operations teams throughout the estimating process
  • Maintain organized project documentation and bid tracking
  • Assist with project handoff and operational coordination after award
  • Utilize estimating software and tools, including Auto Bid where applicable
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of estimating, construction, or project-related experience preferred
  • Mechanical, HVAC, piping, or construction industry experience preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable interacting with customers, vendors, and field personnel
  • Experience with Auto Bid or estimating software is helpful but can be trained

Schedule & Location
