Masons, Tenders and General Laborers

Construction Personnel Group is hiring experienced masons, mason tenders, and construction laborers for masonry and restoration work in the Buffalo area.

These are full-time opportunities with steady hours, competitive pay, and benefits.

• Competitive pay based on experience—strong pay for qualified lead masons and reliable tenders.
• At least 40 hours per week

• Lay brick, block, and maybe stone.
• Perform tuck pointing; grinding mortar joints; patching, caulking, and related restoration work.
• Read and understand prints
• Direct and trail helpers
• Provide sketches, material takeoffs, estimates, or change-order information when needed
• Generally 5+ years of experience

• A good tender should know how to keep a mason working.
• Qualified tenders should be able to:
  Mix mortar properly, set up and move scaffold, use basic masonry tools and equipment, keep tools, material, and mortar within reach without being told every time, carry, move, and stage materials throughout the day, work safely around ladders, scaffolding, grinders, chisels, levels, and wheelbarrows
• Tenders should have 2+ years of experience

• Own basic hand tools and have a willingness to work under direction to complete specific tasks.
• Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and heights
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as moving materials and pushing a broom.
• Trade school or construction experience is helpful, but not required for the right person.
• Dependable transportation to get to work
