Queen City Family Dentistry is growing and updating/renovating our space! We are committed to providing exceptional dental care and promoting oral health for all our patients. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and a passion for educating patients about oral hygiene.

Job Summary

As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality dental care and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. You will work closely with dentists and other dental professionals to provide preventive and therapeutic oral care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and root planing.
  • Conduct oral health assessments, including reviewing patients' medical histories and performing oral cancer screenings.
  • Take X-rays, and digital scanning.
  • Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventive care.
  • Assist the dentist with examinations and treatments as needed.
  • Document patient care and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient patient flow.
  • Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene and attend continuing education courses.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
  • Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist, and up to date CE.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
