Job SummaryAn Elementary Teacher with Primary Hall is responsible for providing foundational education to students and contributing to the development and implementation of foundational educational programs. This role involves creating a positive and engaging classroom environment, designing curriculum, and shaping the culture of the school from its inception. The role involves creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment, fostering the development of fundamental skills, and promoting social and emotional growth.
Additionally, the ability to integrate technology into instruction and a commitment to fostering a love of learning are often valued traits for elementary teachers. You are charged with ensuring that each Primary Hall student is educated in a rigorous and joyful learning environment. With a team of like‑minded educators, you will be supported to provide high quality instruction and grow as a teacher and leader.

- Uses data to drive instruction by regularly analyzing data, studying student work, and implementing the highest leverage instructional strategies to maximize student achievement.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and innovative elementary curriculum in alignment with educational standards.
- Create and adapt instructional materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Manage student behavioral effectively and promote a culture of respect and cooperation.
- Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to address the diverse learning needs of students.
- Focus on building foundational skills in literacy (reading, writing, speaking) and numeracy (mathematics).
- Regularly implements feedback with grace and urgency and with students' achievement at the forefront.
- Upholds a values‑based approach to maintain a positive culture among students and staff.
- Builds strong relationships with parents and students, driving investment in school culture and academics.
- Implements academic interventions for students that are tailored specifically to their needs to increase student achievement.
- Implements behavioral interventions for students to increase learning time and decrease time spent out of the classroom.
- Participates and engages in individual coaching meetings, Professional Development, and Summer Professional Development with a positive attitude and growth mindset.
- Create and foster a positive, safe learning environment.
- Enforce school policies and maintain discipline in accordance with the school's guidelines.
- Perform administrative tasks as required such as attendance, grades, and reports.
- Provide assistance and support to students in understanding the subject matter.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development.
- Update records accurately and completely as required by laws and district policies.
- Supervise students during class and other activities to ensure their safety and well‑being.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom culture that promotes social and emotional development.
- Monitor behavior and address any issues that may arise among students.
- Uphold a high level of professionalism in all interactions with students, staff, and parents.
