This assignment is to cover a leave of absence and will continue until the return of the regular teacher.

• Location: Dr. Folkins Community School, Chauvin, AB
• Subject Areas: Jr. High Science, Jr. Options, Grade 10 Options, CALM 20

• Training and/or experience in teaching Division III and IV Sciences
• Ability to design and facilitate hands‑on and engaging learning experiences
• Training and/or experience with Division IV Mathematics would be an asset

• A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Demonstrates a student‑centred philosophy committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment
• Proficiency with Google Suite and educational tools for communication and planning
• Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment strategies
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and foster a sense of belonging
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
• A willingness to contribute to the school’s extracurricular programs is considered an asset
