Job DescriptionAlfred State College has an opening for a Welding Lecturer at the Northland Workforce Training Center in Buffalo, NY, to start August 2026.
The candidate will present well‑prepared, organized, and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus and school policies. The Welding Faculty position requires knowledge in all welding processes, along with blueprint reading and welders’ calculations. The candidate will perform in both lecture and laboratory formats. Pipe welding or structural steel knowledge is a plus. CWE/CWI certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
The candidate will provide students with timely information and feedback on academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework, and projects, and will maintain accurate records of student academic and attendance performance.
Continually promote students’ development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, computation, problem solving, and decision‑making.
Job RequirementsPreference is given to applicants with an Associate in Occupational Studies (AOS) degree and 5 years of hands‑on Welding Technology employment, or 7 years of minimum employment in Welding Technology.
