• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate's degree or completion of at least 48 college hours preferred
• Experience working with children, particularly students with disabilities, preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with a team
• Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting diverse learners

• Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics
• Ability to work well with children
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Provide instructional assistance to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher
• Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing classroom activities

• Support students with disabilities in general education classrooms under the direction of a certified special education teacher
• Implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) accommodations and modifications
• Assist with instructional activities, including small group and one-on-one support
• Help students stay on task, organize materials, and complete assignments
• Collect data on student performance and behavior as directed
• Assist with classroom management and transitions throughout the school day
• Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
• Support student social interaction and inclusion with peers
• Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with federal and state laws
