Fiscal Year  Position Summary

We invite enthusiastic, forward thinkers to instruct, engage, and inspire students in the Graduate School of Education.

Candidates should have the ability to teach a range of online and seated undergraduate and graduate level courses in the academic

disciplines associated with our four departments:

* Counseling, School and Educational Psychology

* Educational Leadership and Policy

* Learning and Instruction

* Information Science

Academic Responsibilities and

Essential Functions:

* Deliver seated and/or online lessons to undergraduate and/or graduate students.

* Evaluate and grade student class work, assignments, papers, and/or quizzes/exams, providing effective feedback to guide student learning and success.

* Engage in the classroom, reply to emails/voicemails within 24 hours, and hold on campus/online office hours.

* Maintain knowledge in one's own discipline-related area by participating in professional development.

Minimum Qualifications

For teaching undergraduate courses:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant discipline/field

For teaching graduate and doctoral courses:

* Master's degree or equivalent in relevant discipline/field

Preferred Qualifications

* Possess a Master's/PhD in education, counseling, or library and information science-related field, and one year experience with online and hybrid teaching and related methodologies.

* Be knowledgeable in multiple content areas and theoretical frameworks within stated discipline, as well as issues related to diversity and multiculturalism.

* Possess working knowledge of Brightspace, the learning management system at UB.

* Availability to work evening hours (for seated courses).

* Be recognized as exemplary instructor who has had evidence of reflective practice and experience working with diverse students.
