The Department of Linguistics within the College of Arts and Sciences at the University at Buffalo is seeking a Japanese Language Lecturer for a 10‑month academic‑year commitment, full‑time, non‑tenure‑track position. The initial appointment is for two years with possible renewal depending on performance, department needs, and funding availability.
Responsibilities- Teach three Japanese language courses per semester at the assigned levels.
- Assist the Japanese Program Director, including supervising first‑year language courses and internships, conducting placement tests, and developing instructional materials.
- Regularly teach in‑person classes on the University at Buffalo campus beginning in fall 2026.
