Position: S.T.E.A.M. Teacher K-8

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Teacher to inspire and engage K-8 students in a dynamic learning environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver comprehensive curricula that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and hands‑on problem‑solving skills across multiple disciplines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in STEM subjects, creative instructional strategies, and a commitment to nurturing student growth through inquiry‑based learning.

Duties
  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans that integrate science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics concepts aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Develop innovative instructional materials utilizing the latest learning technologies to enhance student understanding and participation.
  • Facilitate classroom activities that promote active learning, collaboration, and critical thinking among diverse student populations.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt instruction accordingly.
  • Mentor students through project‑based assignments, laboratory experiments, dissections, and scientific research initiatives.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, inclusive learning environment conducive to exploration and discovery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, extracurricular programs, and school‑wide initiatives focused on STEM education.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Mathematics, or related fields; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Design and implement an engaging, developmentally appropriate STEAM curriculum for K-8 students.
  • Facilitate hands‑on experiments, engineering challenges, and creative problem‑solving activities.
  • Integrate technology and digital tools into instruction.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support cross‑curricular connections.
  • Manage and maintain STEAM lab materials, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Showcase student work through projects, presentations, and school events.
