Senior Lead of Admissions Operations

University at Buffalo is hiring a Senior Lead of Admissions Operations. This role leads the operational, technical, and compliance functions of the Graduate School of Education's Office of Graduate Admission, administering the Slate CRM system, managing New York State residency determinations, supervising staff, and providing advisement to prospective and admitted students.

• Administers Slate CRM system: designs, builds, tests, and maintains application workflows and backend configurations for graduate admissions.
• Leads technical projects to enhance system functionality and manages annual audit and data cleanup to ensure application data integrity.
• Manages New York State residency determination process for over 600 admitted students per year, applying relevant policies with audit-ready documentation.
• Supervises front-line clerical staff and student employees, providing training, performance evaluation, and oversight of daily operations.
• Collaborates with admissions staff, faculty, and departments to ensure accurate and consistent communication and service across graduate programs.
• Responds to complex student inquiries, provides preliminary advisement on program selection, and supports recruitment initiatives and events.
• Requires bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience with strong skills in CRM administration, project management, and communication.
• Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree and hands‑on experience with Slate or equivalent higher education CRM tools.
• Salary range is $57,151 to $63,000 annually; full‑time term appointment classified as Admissions Advisor, Salary Grade SL3.
• Position reports to the Director of Enrollment Operations and Student Services within the Graduate School of Education at University at Buffalo.
