Hourly Salary$19.27 - Level I Teaching Assistant Certification (or Initial TA).
$19.53 - Level II Teaching Assistant Certification.
$20.41 - Level III Teaching Assistant Certification

The Teaching Assistant provides direct instructional services to students under the general supervision of a certified teacher. A Teaching Assistant supports the teacher by helping to supervise activities in the classroom, working with students on an individual, small group, or whole class basis. Teaching Assistants may be assigned additional responsibilities such as teaching classes on their own, covering planned absences and allowing teachers time for meetings and conferences.
They may also manage other support staff and assist with recording student grades, data and reporting on student progress. Duties of this job require a knowledge of child development and interpersonal skills to coordinate instruction with the primary teachers as well as communicate with parents.
- Valid NYS Teaching Assistant Certification – Level I, II, III or Initial TA.
- Previous work experience in a Career and Technical Education setting preferred.
