Assistant Professor of Teaching (Lecturer 10 months)

The Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (IAD) at the University at Buffalo is recruiting an Assistant Professor of Teaching for a 10‑month lecturer position. The successful candidate will primarily teach and develop curricula for core data science courses.

• Teach graduate-level courses in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and related computational sciences.
• Advise students in the MS‑ESDS program.
• Supervise industry internships, student projects, and experiential learning initiatives.
• Support accreditation objectives, diversity enhancement, and program administration.
• Assist in securing and managing external educational grants.

• PhD in data science, computer science, computational science, applied mathematics, statistics, or a related field, conferred prior to appointment.

• Experience teaching courses in artificial intelligence, statistical learning, data mining, machine learning, database fundamentals, or related topics.
• Strong record of teaching excellence and curriculum development.
