Pre-K Teaching Assistant (2 Positions)

Job Summary:

A Teaching Assistant assists with instruction and classroom management under the supervision of the classroom Pre-K Teacher. They must perform duties within and outside the classroom. Please see Detailed Job Description attached.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

A Teaching Assistant must be able to consistently and successfully perform the essential functions of the position as outlined below:

• Ability to assume teacher responsibilities
• Assist in conducting classroom activities that enhance opportunity to develop skills
• Assist with routine classroom functions

Qualifications:

• Teaching Assistants must have Teaching Assistant Certification or NYS Teacher Certification
• Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education prior to start date Fingerprint Procedure
