Primary Care Accelerated Track (PCAT) Coordinator Position Summary
The Office of Medical Curriculum is seeking an experienced educational professional to serve as the Primary Care Accelerated Track (PCAT) Coordinator. This role provides leadership, operational oversight, and administrative coordination for both the Primary Care Accelerated Track (PCAT) and broader curricular operations within the Office of Medical Curriculum.
This position blends day‑to‑day program management with process improvement, accreditation support, and strategic coordination across the undergraduate medical education curriculum. The PCAT Coordinator works closely with curricular leadership to ensure efficient execution of curricular activities, alignment between curriculum design and delivery, and compliance with LCME standards.
In the PCAT role, the Coordinator supports the implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of the three‑year accelerated Primary Care Accelerated Track, ensuring coordination across admissions, Foundations, clinical experiences, longitudinal learning, assessment, and transition to residency.
This individual serves as a central liaison across faculty, students, leadership, and administrative offices, ensuring operational excellence, clear communication, and a high‑quality learner experience.
Key Responsibilities Curricular Operations (50%)- Support daily operations across the undergraduate medical curriculum, ensuring efficient execution of curricular activities across phases.
- Develop, implement, and refine standard operating procedures to optimize workflows and improve consistency.
- Ensure alignment between curricular design, learning objectives, and implementation at the course and clerkship level.
- Assist with course, clerkship, and phase review processes, ensuring timely completion of required materials and continuous quality improvement.
- Partner with the Office of Accreditation and Quality Improvement (OAQI) to support data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Ensure student feedback is incorporated into curricular improvements and assist in closing the loop communication with students.
- Serve as primary administrative support for Curriculum Committee.
- Coordinate agendas, materials, minutes, and follow‑up actions.
- Represent the Office of Medical Curriculum on institutional committees and working groups as assigned.
- Serve as a point of contact for student representatives and support student‑facing communication efforts.
- Facilitate communication between students, faculty, and curricular leadership to ensure clarity and responsiveness.
- Provide operational and administrative leadership for the Primary Care Accelerated Track (PCAT).
- Coordinate all PCAT program elements, including admissions, onboarding, Foundations coursework, Health Sciences Scholarly Project (HSSP) integration, Clinical Immersions, longitudinal coaching, Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship/Longitudinal Clinical Experience activities, electives, and residency preparation.
- Maintain schedules, calendars, rosters, and program documentation across all components.
- Serve as the central liaison between PCAT leadership, faculty, departments, clinical sites, and administrative offices.
- Coordinate with HSSP leadership, Clinical Immersions, longitudinal coaches, clerkship coordinators, and faculty to support curricular delivery.
- Manage communications related to scheduling, program updates, and student support.
- Oversee tracking of evaluations and completion of required program components.
- Support assessment logistics and ensure accurate documentation in systems such as UBLearns and Med Hub.
- Collaborate with OAQI to compile data, generate reports, and support continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Organize program data, evaluations, and action items to inform program enhancements.
