The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pascal Mubenga, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Establish an environment to enhance individual growth and promote effective communication and speech-language skills
• Facilitate ongoing services for students with disabilities
• Conduct speech-language screening and evaluations
• Work cooperatively with school personnel to accomplish IEP goals and objectives
• Plan, organize, and deliver high-quality speech-language services
• Monitor and evaluate student progress; maintain records and reports
• Enforce Board of Education policies, regulations, and rules
• Maintain school property and materials; perform any assigned duties as necessary

• Hold New York State certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Teacher of the Speech and Language Disabled
• Attach a PDF or screenshot of certifications
• New York State Licensure and Registration as a Speech‑Language Pathologist and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence are preferred
• Knowledge of Medicaid Regulations, ASHA Scope and Practice of Speech‑Language Pathology, and Federal and State Regulations pertaining to Speech Pathology

Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials, and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
